Thanks, Lindalana. I bought that Martini from Green Hill Hosta 4/2021. They also had Dry Martini, which had white streaks. Their flat of Martinis had variable amounts of the chartreuse streaking from slight to moderate. I have been pleased with its subtlety.

Absolutely love your hydrangeas and Tokudama Aureonebulosa--my hydrangeas have a few small blossoms this year and my TA has shrunk or been eaten so I will just enjoy yours. As always, your plants are stunning.

Thanks, Miles. My hydrangeas suffered with the late spring frosts, but still managed a nice show. TA has been in that pot for years. I toss compost, topsoil, potting mix, or oak leaves in there when the soil level sinks. I sometimes pull out an eye if it looks too crowded.

Just got 2 hydrangeas for my MIL. Here they are straight out of their shipping boxes. That Bobo on the left is stunning. Originally, she was only going to take the Litte Lime Punch on the right and leave the Bobo for me. Then she saw Bobo. She is a real ace with hydrangeas.

Where did you order from? That Bobo is a keeper!!

Proven Winners Direct. Thanks! My MIL said that I cannot cut off any flower panicles from Bobo. She told me that I can cut flowers off of one of MY hydrangeas instead. She is getting Bobo in 2 days, but is already possessive.

Today, I am enjoying my MIL’s garden. The hydrangeas are planted.

“Green Devil” is one of her favorites, a sport I found on my old June Fever. She creates great spaces.

My MIL found out that I was posting photos of her garden and asked me to capture a few more spots. First one is Dinky Donna. Rest are areas she likes a lot for obvious reasons.

The side gate my FIL made for her. The tree house he has been making with my boys. Her favorite garden sculpture. Dance with Me among the ferns.

I can see why your MIL wanted you to post pictures of some of her garden. Love Dinky Donna, the garden sculpture and your MIL's creativity! And she is lucky to have a handy husband too!

Bought another Bobo and Little Lime Punch, which arrived today (2 days early). I planted them immediately after fixing a crowding issue with one of my older hydrangeas (Shooting Star). Also, Bridal Falls and Fog Light looked nice today.

Thanks for sharing your MIL garden…….who got whom started with it all? Love Dinky Donna too, and Fog Light as well.

Love Dinky Donna, mine got smashed by the gray squirrels that inhabit my yard and jump down from various birdfeeders on any plants below them. What remains will have to go into a pot if I can salvage it. Love her yard.

How blue was Plum Delicious when it first came up? Solberg sold out before I could order one this year but it is supposed to be very blue leaves on red petioles. Yours looks very healthy.

Plum Delicious is quite blue! Here it is today 7/18/22, with Dixie Cups, Blue Jay, and Skywriter for comparison. In the big pot on right is World Cup, Fragrant Blue, Virginia Reel, and Limey Lisa.

Lovely selection of blues and then the added contrast with the chartreuse. I've gotten quite a few yellows from Bob Solberg which are a nice contrast to my blues. I lost a bunch of older blues that used to be large, Clear Fork River Valley, Van Wade Blue and Rock and Roll but I just got a couple of Diamond Lakes from Sebright.

BTW, your Seducer is looking so nice. Something ate the edges of mine and they look very ragged. I've got a large family of rabbits that might have munched on them. I've got a small suburban yard but it is filled with destructive squirrels and rabbits. I won't even mention the deer that run through but at least the spray keeps them off the hostas and daylily buds.

Miles, I have a birdfeeder too. (I assume you have a squirrel baffle.) I have figured out that it is best to not have plants near the bottom of the feeder. But I still do. I cleared away some plants and have put (1) protective netting secured with ground staples directly below (2) an overturned wire basket on small plants to protect them or (3) a cat mat to deter them from walking all over some areas. That helps.

I agree that your Seducer, UTOG, is pretty. My Seducer has given me trouble. Some years it's been nice and looked promising and then downhill it went. So I've had to clean it up and have separated the eyes that are left. Not all of it will make it. It's been living in a pot. If any of it survives, I'll keep it in the ground.

Debra, Voices in the Wind has had a second flush of leaves on a new eye.

I like that hosta a lot, presense, waves, color combo.

Undertheoakgardener--Can you start a new discussion with close ups of your most beautiful leaves with names? I have pretty leaves but no names.

I spent my garden walk enjoying my most pretty leaves today. The hosta are blooming big time but they are getting ragged and bug and rabbit chewed. My cherrys, pecans and tulip poplars are loosing their leaves for fall. :c( Fall creeps in too soon and too quickly although I do like fall color and my back is ready for winter's rest.
