Where the planned door is would prevent us changing the location of the pool, its size, etc - we have to obey 5' setbacks around the pool. I've attached an aerial of our lot, with a proposed pool for illustration purposes which is 12 x 25.

We are considering changing the door to the opposite wall., which results in it opening up to the privacy fence 6'8" from the garage. . If we were to put the door here, we could enlarge the pool, change its shape, etc. Would this allow for enough room to maneuver around or is it to tight given the 6'8" distance? (With a 3' outswing that would leave us 3'8" to the fence). What should we be thinking about/other options and considerations?

Some items to note, we have a dog and hope to keep space for her even with the pool.

We also plan for a two post of four post car lift

The door on the left of the garage is for the apartment above it, it will have a fence separating the yard.
