Don’t make us look up the specs for your faucet, please. Can you give us the spout reach? It helps to know what you want to get longer than!

Do you have drywall on the other side of this wall, so the fixtures can be changed out without tearing out your tile? If so, you can go to Build.com or QualityBath.com or check here on Houzz.com for wall mount faucets with a longer reach. Just plan on removing the whole fixture and sell yours as used. You can usually set the search parameters on the sites for 1.wall mounted and 2. spout length. It will save you a bunch of time.

Did you discover this on your own or did you plumber bring it to your attention?

The brizo faucet is 8.5” of reach. I’ve found other brands that have 9.5” or 10” reach, but I’m not sure if it’s compatible. This is an exterior wall so changing the valves at this point is not an option as it would mean redoing a whole lot of tile. I discovered it today.

Unless you get another Brizo wall mount with wide spread handles, you are going to have to replace the rough-in, as well, I am going to bet.

In my experience, even if dealing with the same manufacturer, not all of their wall mount faucets are compatible with all of their valves. If you're looking for another brand of faucet you can simply mount onto the Brizo valve, you may be out of luck. Sorry....

I'm no plumber, so this may be impossible, but it looks like you have plenty of room for a deck mounted faucet behind the sink. Would it be possible to cap off the current ones and run the water up to a deck mounted faucet and cover the holes left by the wall mount with something like a matching mosaic tile? Just up to the mirror maybe, with a marble trim piece to top it off?

or add vessel sinks that cover the current ones but fit under the faucet.

One last idea - and this probably isn't compatible, but Brizo makes 11"-12"+ tub fillers in a similar shape. Not sure if the valves are interchangeable?

Rip 3" off the rear of the top and the cabinet.

You're looking at the problem as a plumbing problem. Consider replacing the top and locating the sinks where they need to be in order to work with the existing faucets. Hopefully your vanity won't need any surgery.

What depth is that vanity? Is it a 24” deep vanity instead of a 21”? Because that is a normal sink front rail and normal sink install. Not a mistake. Sink installs are measured from the front of the counter, and arre usually 2 1/2” -3 1/2” from the front. You would not want the sink pushed back in the cabinet with a large front rail to reach over. You might possibly want a larger sink for the install, but you would not want a larger front rail.

The cost of and responsibility for correcting that mistake is on your contractor.

Actually, responsibility is on the bath designer, who didn't check the specs of the vanity, sink, and faucet, to see if all 3 were mutually compatible. If there was no bath designer, then the responsibility for coordination of specs defaults to the homeowner who is choosing all of those menu items a la cart, without considering the meal that the whole makes together.

I have a 21" furniture-like vanity base and marble top in my Powder Room (supplied as a unit.) The set back to the edge of the sink from the front edge of the top is 4 3/4" It may be an objectionable reach for petite people, however my 5' 4" tall wife finds it to be fine.

Since the dimensions of the sinks are known and the faucet is already installed, a simple full-scale cardboard mock up would be a good way to verify.

Get some countertop material and make a 3” curb the length of the counter and have plumber extend pipe to remount faucets

We had this problem in our guest bath. We bought a bigger / deeper sink and had the countertop installer take out the sink and put a new one in. It looks great - the only cost was the junked sink plus a new sink (porcelain) and $200 in labor. Much cheaper than dealing with plumbing and faucets.

A new cabinet top with new sink would solve the problem. Or maybe you can find a sink that is larger front to back.

You could have the countertop and sink removed and turned around with the wider part in front, but it might be too wide.

I’m sorry this happened! I agree with posters about replacing countertops. Also you must live in a warm climate. Our contractor wouldn’t allow us to have any plumbing on an exterior wall, due to freezing pipes.

Brizo is made by Delta, have you looked at wall mount Delta faucets? I have 3 Brizo faucets in my kitchen...their customer service didn't respond to my 2 emails but when I called, they were wonderful and sent replacement parts immediately. They might have a solution for you.

I'd have that top and cabinet ripped and reinstalled in a day, new drawer slides included. Best of all, it will look like it was planned that way.

I'd find a sink that's the same width but a greater depth front-to-back, so all you have to is remove the current sink, extend the cutout a few inches towards the wall, and install the deeper sink. That way you don't lose your top.

I’m going to look for a new sink - that seems like the best option.

What size is the sink? Whst size is the vanity?

Dumb question… but could the top be reversed, front to back?

The sink opening is 13x17. I have a call in to my counter guy to confirm that he could enlarge the opening on-site. Reversing might be hard because I’ve got the thick edges that were added on. That would all need to be redone.

You're not going to find a large enough sink without going custom stainless steel or copper.

It looks like the sink was installed backwards. Wouldn't the overflow drain be under the faucet?

Not necessarily. Ours isn’t in our master

The overflow drain is many times at the front of the sink, out of sight out of mind.

I hope you get it resolved. It’s a gorgeous bathroom and I love the wall mount faucets!
