What is the 6-pointed purple flower?

Planted by a former owner of the house I bought last year. Apparently it's a perennial. I don't have much knowledge of floral gardening and there are thousands of purple flowers in online ID sites. Pic of the flowers, a close-up and the foliage. Thank you.
