Thete is a huge difference in ability of the designers, and box store cabinets cost more. Your kitchen should be around 28K to be at the national average mid grade level, if it is 12x14. Bigger is more. More cabinets like baths and laundry are on top of that.

Vantage is top of the line all wood construction....no particle board/mdf and no vinyl interiors. Even the interiors are a nice wood veneer. It's beautiful. Necessary? No. But very nice! I can sell KM to my clients both ways....I'd say 75% of them go with the Vantage. Especially during some promotions, Vantage only ends up being $200-$600 more overall...so it's a no brainer upgrade!

And I agree with VERBO....a good designer will save you headaches during the whole project and even afterwards. Bad designs last forever....a screwed up order by an inexperienced salesman at a box store, could cost you severely with delays and subcontractor scheduling nightmare. A good designer and project manager/GC is worth their weight in gold.

You would be better off starting your own thread than reviving several old threads that are knocking people off the first page who need help now, not several years ago.

In some cases, you will notice the OP never really returned to the thread even years ago.
