Hi! I voted to keep it although when I first read the subject line of your post (and before seeing the photo), I thought for sure I’d vote otherwise. I’m not a fan of big medallions on hoods or framed out in a backsplash above a range, but your diamond medallion is relatively subtle and adds a more custom look to the hood.

I'm not a fan, somehow it reminds me of Alice in Wonderland. Plus, more embellishments = more edges for grime to settle into. Personally I'd consider removing the flair from the toe kicks as well.
