single casement or doubles?

We are converting a 3 season porch into an all-season living room. We want to maintain the light and air that we get from the existing sliders and have decided on casement windows, leaning towards andersen 400 series. we can fit 15' of windows on one side of the house and are trying to decide between a series of 5 ~36"x64" single casements or 3 ~63"x64" double casements. the doubles will have the bar in the middle and will have less square feet of glass so i am leaning towards the singles. I am worried about the crank mechansim and how these large windows will do over time given the size and weight of the unit. I can't make up my mind. I have looked at the ultimate french casements that Marvin sells as well (no bar in the middle) but they are a bit pricey. Suggestions or ideas please!!
