white bathroom grout options

The main bathroom wall tiles , which are daltile white 0100 3x6 subway are in for the wet area of our bathroom. We will be using the same Empira white quartz for the shower curb that we are using for the kitchen countetops.
The bathroom floor will be the white hex tile in 2x2s - porcellanato series by euro tile.

For the bathroom grout, there are two options.

  1. white grout for the wall subway tile and warm grey grout for the floor hex tile
    OR
  2. frost grout for the wall subway tile and silver grout for the floor hex tile

What do you think?

Likely whatever grout we use for the subway wall tile for the bathroom we will also use for the kitchen backsplash and back wall subway tile — so either white or frost for that.

Thank you both! So do we, but concerned about the white yellowing and/or being hard to clean... Any input on those concerns?

I would do light silver on both. White grout will begin to show differences. Some tiles get more wear.

Dianne and Micha Pringle, What did you end up deciding in your kitchen? I'd love to see pictures! We have just painted our cabinets Simply White and I am deciding on backsplash tile and grout color next. I'm leaning towards the Daltile 0100 subways and just want the grout to blend in with it. Thanks!

We went with Daltile0100 subways with frost grout. It looks good with the Simply white walls. I'll see if I have a photo.

Daltile 0100 white subway with mapei frost grout in wet area, simply white wall on the dry area . Reno is still in progress so no finished photos as yet.

Oh sorry! I thought you were asking about the bathroom. My brain is in pieces from the past 9 months of reno! So the Kitchen has Chantilly Lace cabinets, simply white walls off to the side, but the tile will be daltile 100 with frost grout and brushed nickel hardware. Here are some progress photos.

The whole back wall (with the door) and between uppers and lower cabinets will be subway daltile with mapei frost. The countertop will be Empira white from Caesar stone. The dining nook and ceiling have a first coat of simply white. Simply white can look a big yellow and warmer next to the chantilly lace cabinets but our cabinets have a slight creaminess and warmth to it so we actually like the contrast. I can post photos once it’s done.

Simply white cabinets are nice! I’ve seen someone do simply white cabinets with silestone statuario countertops, white subway tiles with mapei alabaster grout. We almost went that route but didn’t as the Empira white countertop being the cleanest white was most appealing to my husband. the lighting is 3000 kelvin.

@DandM P - Your reno looks great! I know this thread is 3 years old but I came across it looking for Mapei grout ideas to go with Daltile white 0100 3x6 subway. I see that you used Frost on the walls...what grout color did you use on your bathroom hex tile floors? Do you have a close up photos that you could please share?

We are going to have the Daltile 0100 3x6 tiles on the walls and the Daltile octagon + dot (white on white) on the floors. I want gray floor grout and I'm between Warm Gray and Frost. The walls I'm considering Eggshell or maybe Frost because Warm Gray will be too dark/contrast. Just wondering if Frost is a bit too cool for Daltile 0100 since I read it can lean cool? THANKS!
