Choosing the right faucet finish with Iceberg Belissima Quartzite

Did anyone install Iceberg Belissima Quartzite for their kitchen countertops? I put a couple slabs on hold today and I'm not sure what finish to use for a faucet. I'm looking at a Brizo faucet in Polished Nickel and also Luxe Gold. If you have this countertop, can you please share with me what finish you went with for your faucet and cabinet pulls? Thank you!

    What color are your cabinets?

My countertop choice is first and then I will work around the rest of the colors and finishes. If you have a preference for cabinet color with this quartzite, I would gladly take that as well. I would like to build everything around my countertop choice first. My walls are Revere Pewter - maybe time to update that as well, but that will be last on the list to change. Thank you.

If you are at that stage, you don't need to worry about choosing the faucet this early. Faucets are the easiest to buy (quick order, not much lead time), and one of the easiest to replace in a kitchen if need be. Have you chosen your sink? If so, what is it? If not, I would choose the sink before choosing the faucet.

Having said that, note that polished nickel is higher maintenance - it spots and needs polishing. Fine for a bathroom which gets less use, but a pain for the kitchen. Between the two finishes you mentioned, I would prefer the luxe gold.

The polished nickel faucet is a Special Order item and takes 8-10 weeks to ship, so I need to plan and purchase now. My Brizo Artesso faucet is around an $800 commitment and I'd like to match my soap dispenser, cabinet pulls and pendent lighting. It's a pricy decision. I'm purchasing a white single bowl Kohler sink. Thanks.

I see there are different Brizo Artesso faucets. The website Build dot com has the pull-down version in stock now in PN and in the Gold, so you must be talking about one of the other models of Artesso. I agree that the polished nickel is higher maintenance; I have polished nickel in my master bathroom and it tarnishes. But in your situation PN might be the better choice because it will be easier to match cabinet pulls and pendant lighting.

Though note that it is not necessary to match the faucet to the cabinet pulls and pendant lighting. Many people actually think that matching every single finish is ho-hum. What finish are your range or cooktop/wall ovens? So don't box yourself in because you think everything has to be matchy. The faucet does not need to match the lighting at least. People often get polished chrome or stainless steel faucets regardless of the other finishes because those two finishes are kitchen workhorses as well as neutrals.

If you are looking at a bridge-style Artesso faucet, I would look at it in real life in a showroom - even if it's not that exact faucet, just a bridge-style faucet. It means having to turn each handle every time you turn on and off the water, which is many times a day. It also means more holes in your counter to clean around. And a side spray is a dud compared to a faucet with integrated sprayer. I prefer a single-handle faucet. I have the Kohler Artifacts faucet which is a traditional style, and IMHO, it's a looker.

I'm just going to say that I have 3 Brizos in my kitchen, the pot filler is Artesso. Mine are in their stainless brilliance finish and it has been very easy to care for. My upper cabinets have polished nickel pulls, no regrets...not high maintenance at all.

This is the faucet in Luxe Gold. Polished Nickel is a little less expensive, but cost is not the issue. I would just like to choose the finish that goes best with the countertop. It is not a bridge-type faucet As pretty as those are, I use my sink way too often during the day to mess with two handles. I completely agree with you.
