How about an accent wall at the headboard in a rich berry shade, high gloss finish--use lamps on your end tables with white shades to pop against the color. Then a taupe, like Sherwin's Perfect Greige/6073 on the walls, the lighter Popular Gray/6071 on the ceiling if it's 9', the lighter Heron Plume/6070 if it's 8.". In the bathroom , bring that berry shade in again somewhere discreet (like a surprise), balanced with more of the Greige on the walls. Taupe is a hard color to specify--everyone sees something different!
