Favorite kale(s)?
I've never grown kale before, but my sister gave me 5 seedlings in May, and I tucked them in along the edge of my garden. I love cooking with kale but now I absolutely love growing the stuff too! I've harvested leaves many times and it just keeps pumping out more. I will *definitely* grow kale again. Any idea which kale this might be? She originally got the unknown seedlings from another friend, who never seems to know, so there's no use asking her. What are your favorite kales to grow? I love cooking with lacinato kale and wonder if that would grow well here too.

This is great, thank you all! I searched the net and the images that I see for Red Russian seem to match what I'm growing! These plants are tucked in at the edge of my garden -- right next to my willow wattle fence that partially shades them. Here are closer pics I just took. Do they look like Red Russian to you?
