Woodworking Design Dilemma Kitchens

Best method to secure a floating shelf to the bracket?

Does it matter if we use screws driven through the top or bottom of the shelf into the horizontal support rods of the bracket, or apply silicone “glue” on the same rods? Just curious. I do want the shelves to be removable with ease but secure on their brackets.

Just make sure you pick up at least two studs. Use 2" screws. Friction alone will keep shelf onto the rods. Don't use adhesive. If you ever want to move or remove that shelf you'll be demoing that wall.

Why do they need to be removable ? IMO you do not have to use anything to hold the shelf in place
