Tomatoes and Corn are big summer treats here, but for a Good boost and refreshing break during the mid-afternoon heat it's hard to beat...

Probably for us it's the Japanese cucumbers. We've been having cucumbers to eat everyday sometimes twice and probably will continue until the end of the season. Tomatoes are still sluggishly late :-(

Been eating BLTs 4 or 5 times a week since the first beefsteaks ripened about 4 weeks ago. I'll have one for lunch in a couple hours. Good thing I bought half a hog back in June or I'd be going broke buying bacon.

Definitely tomatoes and watermelon say "summer" to me. I need to find some locally grown tomatoes and watermelon is still a couple weeks away. But when that watermelon train hits, I'm on board! I can't get enough of it.

Summer for me is stone fruits, strawberries and watermelon - wish I could grow them myself, however, the ones I've been buying have been mostly excellent 😋

Sounds like watermelon is the favorite for this group! I try to grow them and select short-season types, but as of today they have not even set any fruit. We will see...

It's finally happening here too! I made a pico de gallo a few days ago with the early tomatoes, cucumbers, long hot peppers, and cilantro from my gardens and it's been ages since I've eaten anything so fresh and good. :)
