You can pick tomatoes after they start blushing. They can still have some green streaks on them, though they will continue to color after picking if you let them... just like regular tomatoes.

For the best taste, I like to wait until tomatoes give slightly. I don't know about Pink Bumblebee, but some tomatoes need to ripen on the vine to reach peak perfection. (I find that Sungold is that way, at least at the beginning of the season). Most varieties ripen just fine when picked at first blush and ripened inside.

I do feel for softness and a tug - to pick, if they do not pop off easily I leave them. It is odd because very very few of them turn pink - no streaks, even if I wait a long time.

Odd isn't it? I'm finding that Blush (from the same breeder as Sunrise Bumblebee) are not getting any pink streaks on them! It's been very hot here and I wonder if that is the reason.
