When to buy washer and dryer.

I need to purchase washer & dryer for me new house. The model I want (I want to buy from Costco & I would prefer black) is not available. The other models available now is at least 500 bucks more. I honestly do not see any point in getting a more expensive set.

My question is - is it wise to wait for September/Labor day and see if inventory increases; I heard that new appliances/model come out in Sept/Oct?! I moved in last week so I can wait for a few weeks. Or there is not much chance of the scenario getting improved?

Also, if you have any personal comments on your favorite brand between these two, experience wise, please feel free to advise - Samsung, LG!

Labor day is a good time to score a good deal, however that does not necessarily mean the models you want will be available during the sales period, or they will be included in the sale. It is possible you can order them during the sale if you are willing to wait. Neither of the brands you listed are a preference for me. It is just when/if they need parts or service it can be difficult to get with these manufacturers. Even more so if you live in a rural area. I would go with Speed Queen, Maytag or something along those lines just so service and parts are not a potential issue down the road.

The LG WM4000HBA washer and DLEX4000B dryer are a CR top-rated pair. Prices appear uniform at LG, Home Depot, and Best Buy.
