help with living room layout please!

I’m helping a friend who is totally re doing the dated decor in house. He’s going from room to room. He just put in a new kitchen and office and now have moved to living room. Carpet is brand new and a very light gray. We need ideas on how to lay out this living room with new furniture. Does he need a sectional couch? Does he need a floating entertainment center on wall? He had a large wooden entertainment center which he removed when the carpet was put in this week and it’s sitting off to the side. He Is willing to buy all new stuff but just don’t know where to begin or how to lay this out. It’s a large room with 14’ ceilings. He likes blue and gray for colors. Walls were also just painted, they are Sherwin Williams Agreeable Gray. Any help would be appreciated!

P.S. - I think Agreeable Gray is a beautiful color! It didn't look like that in other photo hence my comment about going lighter. I love this color, good job! Too many other comments on the other post and IMHO not all that helpful ;-)

LOL thanks for the reply @lorrrr- we thought your comment was the most helpful. We are going to look for a vase and some of that grass. I will post more photos as he gets new furniture in. And yes, the agreeable gray looks great!

Those are very cool. I will show him. Any idea on what we could put in them? Some kind of tall grass? Can we get that online too?

Yes, the pampas grass or another grass if he likes that. You can Google pampas grass - in any color - and find it abundantly. Make sure he measures the space and the height of the vase and the height of the grass, whichever he goes with. You don't want the grass to fall too far into the vase and you don't want the whole thing to be too tall for the space. Measure, measure, measure!
