Husband recently had ducts professionally cleaned. Now I smell what I can really only describe as an attic dirt or paper towel smell in the house. Similar to when you've been on vacation for a week and had the house locked up with the air not running as frequently. However, I seem to smell it more when the air comes on which goes against my locked up smell theory. He's changed the filter. and said he doesn't smell it as much as it was a week ago after the cleaning. I guess we will have to agree to disagree on that but my smell power is pretty strong. Has anyone noticed this particular smell after having their ducts cleaned? Is it normal and will it ever completely go away? He felt since the house was 27 years old the ducts needed to be cleaned and now I wish he'd left them alone as I feel like our house smells old and stuffy and it definitely didn't smell that way previously.
