Your contractor would pour pavement that flares out from the narrower sidewalk to match up with the wider porch steps. You'd just have to decide how far away from the steps you would like the sidewalk pavement to begin flaring.

You can also have pavement poured to create a "landing" after your last porch step that matches the width of the steps, then have the more narrow sidewalk lead off from it.

Nice-looking house! I assume you're referring to the pathway connecting the street frontage sidewalk and the entry stairs. Right? Hopefully some landscape pros will chime in here but my suggestion is to make the path a bit narrower than your steps, then let it gently swoop out to meet the edge of the stairs on the non-garage side, and another gentle swoop to connect with the garage pathway. Does that make any sense? I realize "swoop" is probably not legitimate landscaping terminology but hopefully you get the idea.

My steps are not as wide as yours, but be sure you don’t end up with an awkward landing step as i have when you are joining the steps and sidewalk. We are having to re-pour it as it is a tripping hazard.

Just make sure that the sidewalk is wide enough that two people can walk side-by-side.

At the end of the stairs, make the walkway wide for long enough to put an urn on either side, then, make it as narrow as you like.
