Laundry Room Backsplash Questions

last modified: 4 years ago

Below is a photo of a laundry room (not mine) from another house in the community with the same layout. Mine looks much worse : )

The layout will not change, but we are updating it with new flooring, painting the cabinets white, and gray quartz countertops. We found a tile for the backsplash, which will extend from the counter to the cabinets. The opposite wall will have a backsplash between the counter and cabinets as well.

1. On the door wall, where should I stop the backsplash? Should I use a backsplash there at all? I will have the same issue on the opposite wall which isn't visible in the photo.

2. What do I do with the wall behind the wasther dryer? My preference is to continue the backsplash at counter height behind the washer dryer rather than tiling the wall down to the floor. The washer dryer is squeezed in tight, so I don't think you can really see behind them, but frankly, can't remember and the washer/dryer have already been moved.

Thank you so much!
