There are a number of outlets that carry it. They are just currently out of stock, which is not at all that surprising for this late in the season. This is the time of year retailers are ordering new stock for the coming spring. If you do request through a local nursery, most will bring in more than a single tree.....wholesalers generally require a minimum quantity, not just a single item. So you could still pick out the one you like.

Is there reason you want that specific cultivar? If you are looking for a seedless sweetgum, there are other choices.

Sure ken to some degree your right. But it’s a ballpark estimate on size. Being that the size of the straight species is estimated to be about 10 to 20 feet wider at maturity I think this one being narrower is a better option for my yard. I will trying the Latin name and prove trick which I was not familiar with.

Hey will any other suggestions on good local tree places ? Looking for a afterburner Nyssa sylvatica also called David Odom on some sites. I’m in glenside. Called 20ish so places today. Siteone didn’t have it listed. Rhoads garden said they will have balled and burlap Ones in this spring for 500$ a piece. A little pricey and I prefer container plants when possible. I am going to call behmerwalds tomorrow. You suggested them in an old post as well. Willing to drive just looking for a place with good selections or a good site that lists their inventory so I don’t have to keep calling.

Behmerwalds won't have it but sometimes are willing to add something to their next order for the customer. You'd pay a slight premium, but Bill(owner) won't beat you up too bad. Tree Authority gets some of their stock from Highland Hill( Doylestown Area) and they(most SE PA distributors), get some of their stock from tree farms just over the border in Maryland.

Paxson Hill Farms in New Hope(Bucks County) does from time to time carry harder to find cultivars so you might want to give them a call. Gary Spock is my contact there @ gary@paxsonhill.com./ (215) 534-5518 .

They had some variegated and twisted forms of Nyssa the last time I was looking. Post here with how you make out.

Highland hills nor Paxson hills has it will. Both guys were super friendly and the best customer service I’ve dealt with in all my phone calls. Paxson hills took my name and the tree down and will give me a call if he finds one. I asked about Gary and was told he retired last year. Highland hills told me a couple distributors who may have it. Thanks !
