Well it looks like my 7yr old dwarf Stella has canker, with three spots on the trunk oozing out. How do you mitigate this, or is the tree a goner? The cherry has grown happily without trouble until now and pruduced a nice crop this year. I planted a Lapin near it this season as well as a couple sours. Maybe the sweet cherries are too much trouble and should be pulled. I pruned in July when it was hot and looked like no rain in forcast, and then it rained the next day. Would an infection show quickly? The pruning cuts were only four weeks or so.
