It's a great book and one of a kind...!

Yeah, it's a really great reference. We use so much in our office that we don't keep in on the book shelf; it's either on my desk or my architect's desk.

I live in Philadelphia and look forward to identifying the different styles of houses just in my neighborhood alone. Apparently, my 1st house was a second empire Victorian.

It is the best reference for researching and determining architectural styles I have seen. Virginia & Lee McAlester did a great job.

I love this book! Too bad most of the houses in my area (and the area I'm moving to...) don't fit into my favorite styles. Just my luck, right?!?
