Possibly seagrass or grasscloth? i don’t know what this material is on this headboard.

It looks like whitewashed seagrass.

What do you plan to use it for? I have always thought of it as fragile. (I have baskets and placemats made of seagrass.) I don’t know if they would make something like that in sheets that you could cut, since it has a weave that might unravel if cut.

Grasscloth wallpaper is everywhere but it is not usually woven like that and has smaller strands of grass.

You'd have to want the look pretty bad. There will be no such peel and stick thing.

If bound and determined to have a similar texture on a headboard DIY?

PLY WOOD, ......a nail gun, and a finished trimmed edge of some sort. You need a 4 " x 8' allowing some waste, and a way to trim four unfinished edges. If you look at the bed Bev posted ? Every edge is trimmed. Also spray paint, if you want that ivory ..or white. Buy a rug, or a similar matting and adjust the dream.

Braided rug in the colour you want and size for a headboard and staple to plywood-trim out. Braided pattern wallpaper but the problem is its narrow width. Lastly is to have you or someone knit the look-that can be a knit one row purl the next row to get a similar look using some type of yarn to give you the look you want.
