Capiz Multipoint Bethlehem Tree Topper

Hi guys!

I hope you can help me out with this

Im thinking about buying this one as its unique and to be honest : Something you will not find in Denmark for sure, and NOT on a tree. Danes are very strict when it comes to toppers and ornaments. Its only now tree toppers with lights are a thing now!

Now, my question is. Im thinking about getting this one and using it for the holidays. I live in Denmark and Ive never used anything from the States here and the voltage is different!

BUT im missing having it on my tree!

Would it be OK with a converter here for using or getting a Power Converter to change from 110v to 220v as Denmark has?

Ive tried searching BUT i thought I needed more professional help with this one!

Can anyone help me out?

Sincerely

Dennis

I am not sure but if the light is LED the converter should work I have not used on in Denmark but in Paris we have no issue with certain things

What you can also do is buy a second one and put it in SERIES (not in parallel) with one another. In series, each one will only see half the 220V mains and work like if they were powered with 120V.

Denmark has the same voltage as France does. I think these are incandecents.

Yes, you would buy two of these, but instead of just plugging them separately like you normally would, you would make yourself a short extension cord with a regular male end, and two female ends where one side of the first female connector is tied to one side of the male plug, then the other side of the female connector is tied to one side of the second female connector. The other side of the second female connector is tied to the other side of the male connector. If that is not clear I can post a diagram.

Once it arrives go with your first instinct. Seek PROFESSIONAL help--take it to an electrician that rewires fixtures.

Just switch the bulbs to LED.

Just switch the bulbs to LED

Rarely doable on Christmas decorations without heavily modifying the device and voiding the UL or CSA listing. They likely use the ubiquitous midget Christmas bulbs and to switch the bulbs to LED would also require changing the sockets.

I got an emaili from the supplier. Its a ten strand lights with 12 volts incandecents lights. and the socket doesnt come in LED and they are pretty much hard to come by. So ill need to take the strand out and put in a different one, no??

    @w0lley32

I would simply take the strand out of the star and insert a new one that wouldn't require adapters or wire two stars. A new strand that fits the voltage Denmark has. Those can be bought in a 10 strand

Yes, my tree was shipped overseas and its a 7,5 ft but where would I put the other star on the tree? I would have one on top and then one more......where ever would I put that heheh!

Im just unsure on the adapter - as I have no CLUE on what adapter would be the best option and one that wouldnt issue any problems in terms of fire ect
