Before/after on paint - "emerging taupe"

Not much of a before/after, but thought I'd share how a paint color I had never heard of "emerging taupe" by SW ended up looking. I wanted a deeper color but didn't want to detract from the city skyline view of this north-facing room. Emerging Taupe was almost mauve, and I thought sort of framed the many reddish-brown brick buildings in the skyline. In the end, I liked it. A little bit romantic, a little bit modern. Looks more mauve in the room, looks more brown when next to the deeper purple of the attached bathroom.

Thanks all. And I wouldn't mind any suggestions for room decor. I had an entire new townhouse to re-do and ran out of money so right now that's Ikea bedding (sheets are better quality). The artwork I'm struggling - the house is built on a historic site and those pictures are old photos of what used to be there. I can't blow them up any larger due to quality. When I return to this room, I need to figure out how to re-arrange artwork and what to do about the bed looking like a cheap dorm room bed. Any suggestions welcome!
