I've planted three apple saplings, one about three years ago, and the other two this year. The older one and one of this year's have extra branches and I was wondering if these should be pruned, and, if so, when?

Above is the 3-yo one, and I'm wondering if I should prune the lower branch, with the yellow tape. The one in the background is the surviving one from this year and is shown below at a better angle.

If I prune what appear to me as the two extra branches, that doesn't leave much.
