The 33.5" is the length of the package. Click on measurements to get measurements for the cabinet, click on details to get other details including the measurements of the package.

@bry911 Thanks. So when I click on measurements and it says 30" wide, that's exactly how wide it is?

Also, if I'm having the doors custom made by Barker, for a 30" x 24" x 30" cabinet, what would the exact measurement of the door fronts be to give to Barker, for, say, a 2 drawer cabinet? And will the planner (either in the store or on the phone) know the exact measurements to give to Barker?

Ikea doors are typically 1/8" smaller in height and width than the cabinets. The corner cabinet is different.

That depends on which drawer stack you are interested in. Ikea uses a standard 5", 10", 15" for their traditional drawer stack. So you would take 1/8 off each one and order 4 7/8", 9 7/8", 14 7/8".

If you live close to an Ikea just head over there and grab a tape measure.

Again, if you have a corner cabinet that can be a different door width, so it is best to just measure it.

@bry911 Thank you SO much. I get it. So for a cabinet with three drawers that's 30" wide, and the top drawer is 5" height, I'd order a Barker door front that's 4 7/8" x 29 7/8".

I don't live close (about 1 1/2 away by subway--I don't have a car) but I think I'll do that. But this has been incredibly helpful. Appreciate it.

Thanks @Johnson Brothers Contracting I'm actually working with a very experienced contractor who will oversee the entire thing. I just wanted to make sure I understand it all before we start (particularly because I'm using 3rd party drawer fronts).

Contractor is not the same as a kitchen designer. And the Barker people will know what you need, You are overthinking this.

IMO there is no advantage to using Ikea boxes and other doors since the doors are the expensive part . I do IKea kitchens a lot and never have had the need for another door maker . You order the doors from any other maker and that measurement is on you. Please just stop and get someone who can help with all of the design of the kitchen not to mention someone who undestands the istall of Ikea boxes is perfect and should not be messed with .

Ikea frames are the best part of Ikea cabinets. That is where all the engineering is that allows Ikea to perform well above its price point.

I doubt you are going to find comparable performance for anywhere near the price of Ikea frames and hardware.

I am ambivalent about their doors but then again I can spray my own coatings which is the most expensive part.

I would use scherrs. They are so helpful and nice. You basically just send them your design and they’ll know the door sizes. I’m surprised barker’s isn’t the same way.
