Hi Irma, I have one planted in my front yard, away from the house, where I don’t need to be worried about its size or shape. It is a multi-trunk large shrub. I seem to recall it took a couple of years to really establish itself but, is doing fine now. Blooms all summer and is always abuzz with polinators. I don’t recall seeing berries so i must have a male plant.

Hi Meg, good to know! How much sun and water does it get?

It’s pretty much in full sun. There are trees east and west of it but, it gets no cover from the south. No special irrigation once established. In dryer months my lawn sprinklers are on once a week. I should probably be giving it a bit more since its leaves are a little curled. But it is growing and blooming just fine.
