What other naming does this plant have? Is it an actual rose (Rosa) or something else?

Sorry, I don't know the answer to your question, nor am I sure very many people on this forum grow or have grown it, but I hope someone answers for you. It's available on sale at High Country Roses right now, relatively inexpensive so you could always just take a chance and try it.

I have found that the Buck Winter Sunset lasts pretty well on the bush for a week or so with some color changes. I rarely cut roses so I can't tell if they fade in the vase quickly. It has a pretty open form so I don't think it would close up once it blooms

I don't pay a ton of attention but I think the blooms can stay on the bush about a week. They are a bit mutable in color with some pink edges creeping in as they age.

it isnt worth answering.. if you arent going to tell us where you are ... big city name..

the more mild and temperate your location.;. the longer blooms last in the garden ...

roses are ephemeral ... and there is nothing you can do about it:

if its 100 degrees.. they might last a day or two ... if its october.. and its 40s at night.. and 50 during the day.. they might last 2 weeks or more ... since those temps are no worse than a florist fridge ...

the trick.. is to have about 50 roses.. so there is always at least one in bloom at all times.. all summer long.. from late spring..to mid to late fall ..

trying to buy one long blooming rose would be a nightmare of logistics..
