Just pot up in well draining mix, in a pot wih drainage hole(s). Don't overpot. Don't use rocks on the bottom! Don't water for few days - I start watering when roots start growing...same as rooting most succulents...

If freshly cut let it sit out in the air for a few days

It wouldn't hurt to trim a couple of rows of leaves off the bottom of the rosette (cut as close to the trunk as possible) and allow the stubs to dry a bit before sticking it in soil, or stick it right away and don't water for a week or so. The lowest leaves should be just above the soil line - not sitting on the soil. Trimming bottom leaves makes for a longer stem and eventually more roots. The result will be a more robust plant in much less time. Many people practice this trick when planting peppers and tomatoes. I use it whenever I repot a succulent that has rosettes.
