Looks like a couple of species of lady bug and two wasps. Not harmful and generally encouraged as beneficial predators.

Harmless ladybugs and wasps, BUT my concern is for the horrific cut and scar that the tree is unlikely to manage to survive such extensive damage! I wouldn't be surprised if it would snap and blow over!

it apparently already snapped and fell over ... at least half of it did ....

those wounds will never heal.. tree time is counted in decades. and this tree will fail due to that wound that cant and wont heal .. but.. in tree time.. that might be a decade from now ...

and frankly.. if it were mine.. i would cut it at ground level.. and apply a stump killer.. and then go buy a new tree.. if i still wanted a tree in that spot ...id probably take it out now .... and then think about what i want to do over winter... planning on a spring planting.. if that was the decision ...
