Bathroom remodeling project

We choose a local contracting company to remodel the bathroom in the master bedroom. that was February 2022. Still not done. The wall behine the bathroom being done is a dining room the wall in the dining room is paneling. At one point a wall partition in the new bath in the shower area was not lining up to hold a shower door and someone was here banging on the partition all day. i left because of the noise. Several days after this I noticed the paneling directly behind the bathroom is wavy and ripling. When I brought it up they told me I probably had moisture in the walls from leaks in my roof ceiling area in the dining aere or around my windows in the dining area. There in no leak. I think it was from the banging on the partition disturbing the studs in the wall causing the paneling behind it to be displaced. How can I verify my idea?
