Hi there, I'm very curious, why the forums dropped off your radar. [g] Just from a non personal point of view, wondering if you found another site to visit or if the forums were not active enough?

Where do you garden Rodney? And how is your garden doing?

Thanks for the kind words and welcome back. I was honestly expecting this post to not get any activity with people wondering "who the heck is this guy?" haha

Out of sight out of mind, mostly. Several years ago I had this forum added to my homescreen on an old phone. So I'd tap the icon and be here instantly. When I got a new phone I didn't do the same and I came here less and less. A few phones later and I just plain forgot about the site. (My actual computer usage has been near nil except when absolutely necessary.)

I haven't found any other sites worth mentioning. There are plenty of Facebook gardening groups I have been in but I've left nearly all of them after a while. When I find I'm spending more time sighing or shaking my head at posts/comments in a group instead of replying to them then it's time for me to leave.

I'm still in the same general area of SE Michigan that I've always been. Don't have a garden right now due to life getting busy and recently moving so the only things I have growing are some houseplants. It was fun reading through some of the Veggie Tales posts here and it's got me looking forward to getting back at it next spring.

Rodney - Easy to see how that can happen. Especially if you haven't even been able to garden recently. We had the same issue this year too. First year we didn't do a vegetable garden at all. We really missed it and can't wait for next spring.

I can't believe you have managed to cut your computer use way back. Good for you. It gets to be such a habit and a time drain. I should try to cut back a little more too. I do use my laptop for record keeping, and I wonder what I used to do before I had a laptop.
