If I would purchase just for myself I'd likely stick with unscented or perhaps mix just a little scented detergent in to get a whisper of scent. My favorite detergent is still Tide F&G liquid. I like the scents of Tide Original, Clean Breeze and Cheer liquid. I also really like the scent of Tide's Simply line as well as Era. They are more old-fashioned. Miele's detergents also smell divine. They are masculine and herbal but seriously strong, like Persil strong. Those German's love their laundry to be heavily scented!

My MIL and SIL still exclusively use All Plus free from Costco. It cleans nearly as well as Tide. I'd use it myself if it wasn't loaded with OBs.
