Exactly - What a great place to sit - in front of a window!

It would be too many sittings by the window. I would go with plants

Agree with the above poster: Bring the chairs together so two people could talk ... and put a small table /something just big enough to hold two drinks and a small vase of flowers between them.

Furthermore, I'd want the chair on the left because it has a nice lamp for reading. Could the other chair have something similar? Or, if you don't want to be matchy-matchy, how about a swag lamp?

I see the edge of a rug on the floor ... I'd like this either to be a part of the two chairs OR draw it back so that the chairs are clearly not part of this little venue.

Fully support moving the chairs closer together. Using a dresser between the two gives you so much extra storage, but it looks like the window is to close to the floor for that.

Another option to go with just side table with decor instead bench.
