Visually I don't think it needs poufs. The room looks great! The only reason I'd consider adding poufs is if you want to use them to warm up next to the fireplace. I have an elevated hearth that I don't love visually but if I'm really cold I'll go sit on it to warm up by the fireplace.

It is perfect as is. You could possibly put a small bench or ottoman under the window to the right of the fp if you constantly need to bring in another seat. But then you'd need to move the plant, and I think the room needs that color and life that it brings. Gorgeous place.

Can the rug/sectional be moved back a bit and with the added space in front of fireplace, two leather stools or ottomans might work or even a bench. Buy/test and just return if need be; won’t know until you try.

I voted leave it alone because it is lovely as is. But I personally love to have my feet up. If it was my room, I would find someplace to plop a pouf or two, so they are handy when needed. But if you don’t plan to “use” the poufs, then you certainly don’t need them to complete the room.

If that were a full baby grand, and not a small electronic version, I would slip a large upholstered hassock underneath it to be pulled out when needed. BTW, even though it is electronic, the piano should be turned so the lid opens against the corner and throws the sound into the room and the pianist is looking at the fireplace. The piano below is in a FLW home I worked to design here on Houzz a few years back.. Attached is some info about piano acoustics that can help.

Decoenthusiaste, thank you for that info! Honestly I know nothing about pianos. I bought this cheap digital one so my kids can learn and hopefully one day own a real grand piano in a larger home. I appreciate you letting me know

It looks like your living room doesn't need any poufs, however it might not look bad with added storage ottomans or poufs. Please take a moment to look at these two images with some more ideas for you.
