We ordered a new Thermatru door - double doors + sidelights. The company had great reviews on a number of sites, but problem #1 was a 28 week wait on a 16 week quote and without any status updates. Problem two was when they came to install the door, they pulled our old one out, then realized that the new one was damaged. Not only that, but it was supposed to be double bored and was only single. The quote was $12K. We paid half at time of order. It’s been three weeks and not a word from the owner who was allegedly going to call us to provide a plan for replacing.

At this point, do we just keep the thing for $6K and hire a company to bore out another hole and fix the broken part? I don’t know that I trust the original company to the tune of $12K to make it right. And honestly, I’m not thrilled with the quality of this brand, but everything is made cheaper nowadays.
