Cambria Inverness Frost w/ Cabinets?

My kitchen cabinets are very close to Sherwin Williams Pure White (seem to lean a bit brighter), and I’ve had my heart set on Cambria Inverness Frost. I question if the colors compliment one another or if it looks like a I tried and missed the mark? I’ve attached some photos here for reference. I’m also planning to do a full quartz backsplash.

I have no advice, but wanted to share this post. It shows a bright white cabinet with Inverness frost. Cambia Inverness Frost. I know lighting will make a huge differnce. Hopefully some Pros will chime in. Good luck!

I would be very cautious with this product. I ordered 3 slabs of Inverness frost based on the samples they have at two distributor showrooms in the San Diego area. My slabs arrived and are not the same color as the samples - samples are off white with beige veining - slabs arrived are white with grey veining. It took two weeks to exchange out the slabs and the new ones are still the wrong color but the store I bought them from won’t change them out again and keep telling me that there are always variations and Cambria does not allow customers to “choose” their slabs. I cannot understand that an expensive USA man made product has such variations from the samples in the showrooms to what is produced and sent to the customer. I am extremely disappointed and would not recommend this product.

Further to my comment above - your sample looks to be similar in color to the samples I have. The delivered slabs are not the same color and in your case with white cabinets, it may actually match! It’s an expensive gamble…

Delivered slab on left and store sample on right - not sure how this looks online but in natural daylight there’s a significant difference of cool color and warm…

I'm so sorry you're having to deal with these issues, and I agree that it's truly dumbfounding that the samples and slabs are not the same shades. I did go ahead and roll the dice, and the slabs look perfect in my kitchen, which really speaks to how different the slabs are - if anything, my counters lean more light gray than they do cream. In my situation it worked out perfectly, but if I'd had my cabinets painted to match the slabs I got it would be an absolute disaster, so I sympathize with what you're going through and hope Cambria will make things right for you.

Hello if your are able to paint the cabinets a different color then I would go with Antique Paper Dunn Edwards to compliment the Inverness Frost. It should be a cool warm white with taupe and grays in the veining and Cambria is great when it comes to picking out the slabs especially when you are going directly through them

    best of luck!

I have a video of the full slab I can send you!

Can you share pic of completed project? I’m in the exact situation. My cabinets are bright white and I fell in love with Inverness frost. Did your counters end up looking good because they were slightly different shade from your sample or were they close to sample and just looked good and no need to worry?

I am also getting ready to order Inverness Frost to install with Chantilly White cabinets and a white oak island. Are you happy with the look of using it for the backsplash also? How are the seams and the overall color with the white cabinets above? I am so nervous..... Pics I have seen tend to look more yellow/cream. My sample pulls grey. Just want to be sure it will not be too creamy.

My samples pulled cream/yellow but my slabs pull gray. I think a lot has to do with lighting. Our kitchen faces east and gets lots of natural morning light but little evening light. Also, I found I was holding my sample against the cabinets in a way the slab just doesn’t sit against them, making it far easier to be critical.

I’m so happy with the overall look and am glad we did full splash. I too was super concerned with seams. Be sure to take advantage of Cambria’s slab smith to approve of the veining and seams. We only have two very short seams behind our sink, but I know much of that can depend on your layout. I also requested photos of seams on white quartz that our installers had previously completed. All of these requests actually led me to switch companies and find the one we ultimately used and were happy with. It’s just too much money and too big of a project to not get it right, and I know seams on white quartz can be tricky. I honestly never notice ours. I can send photos tonight if you’d like.

I know this post is older, but I think BM Silver Satin looks beautiful with Inverness Frost. It’s almost a match.

Did you go with the polished or honed finish?

    These are the polished finish.

I have the honed hopefully getting installed this week

@Bri Walgamuth . Bri, such a beautiful kitchen! How is your quartz backsplash faring behind your gas range? Do you take any precautions when using the back burners? Does the warranty still apply to product placed behind a substantial heat source? Thank you!
