Help with Bathroom!

I must’ve had a wild hair when I selected this bathroom tile. My typical look is coastal neutral so I’m not sure how I ended up with this. Regardless, I have no idea how to decorate this bathroom. Paint? Wallpaper? Curtain? What do I do? Help!

Looks nice. Pretty towel reflected in the mirror along with a nice shower curtain and you're good.

I think you did a good job! And, I like monochromatic but if it were my bathroom I might consider some color on the wall.

Or, add some art and textiles with texture and color. A nice light wood frame would liven up the space. Maybe a plant?

the tile is great, can read coastal...

I'd change up the mirrors and light fixture.

any natural light in the room? Shower curtain or glass door?

what's on the wall opposite the vanity?

If it were mine, I'd paint the walls white to freshen it up and the toilet and shower will 'disapear into the wall' . a single canvas of a serene beach landscape above the toilet?? just a thought.

a slim bar light fixture, and a natural wood to frame the mirrors (a driftwood of sorts?)

an accent of that darker spot in the tile would be nice on the solid wall across from the vanity

it's a small space, keep it clean and simple.

    Enough with all white already!

OP, what colors do you like? The floors and tile are actually neutral so you could paint the walls any color you like. Since you like coastal, how about a grayed turquoise?

Can you share the tile? I really like it.

I must’ve had a wild hair when I selected this bathroom tile.

I think the tile is nice, but it's not my house. Start with the easiest, cheapest possible fix: Buy three fairly large floor mats -- one for each sink, one in front of the tub. This will cover a large portion of the tile. Live with it a couple months and hopefully you'll be happy without the trouble and expense of changing out perfectly functional tile.

Regardless, I have no idea how to decorate this bathroom.

    Ideas, no particular order:

    - The vanity /toilet wall is underwhelming. I don't think paint is the right answer -- paint would play up the fact that you have two mirrors that don't really work as two mirrors -- they're too close to one mirror, and for no reason -- if you're going to use two mirrors, you need a reason; for example, lighting between them. I'd switch these two something's-wrong mirrors for one big mirror with a substantial frame with some personality /something with some silver to tie into the metals? -- OR two mirrors that aren't so plain.

    - I'd start with some artwork above the toilet. Or maybe a storage cabinet; storage seems to be a need here.

    - If you're up for changing something, I'd make it the vanity. This is a great example of why you don't want duplicate sinks -- they've left you with no drawer storage, so you have clutter in the bit of counter top that you have. You've taken a step in the right direction by corralling your bits-and-bobs on a tray, but these things would be better put away in a drawer.

    - You need towel bars /linens across from the sink -- be sure you make them nice because they'll reflect in the mirror. Do you have a hand towel ring for the vanity that isn't showing?

    - A shower curtain will bring in some softness and texture, and -- as CPArtist says -- color. You say you like neutrals. A soft blue, aqua or sage would register as "neutral" while also bringing in some color. I agree that white would end up too bland. Be sure your color has a beige-base.

    - Finish with something organic. A basket on the toilet tank for extra TP rolls or a green plant. A small vase of flowers between the sinks. A woven-basket trash can tucked between the vanity and the toilet.

I would do a pretty pale aqua. Something reminiscent of sea glass. A white textured shower curtain, white towels on rack. And art above toilet. I really think you should have a light above each mirror or a longer light. The suggested idea of bringing a woven basket is good too.

Or you can do white walls, and get counter accessories in a sea glass look. And bring in a color with shower curtain and towels.

    Here’s a few inspiration photos I found.

    Sea glass is lovely.

I agree with the others. You've created a beautiful canvas in the neutral fixtures: flooring, white wall tile, bathroom fixtures. I think of all that as a blouse that now needs a necklace, scarf and earrings where you add the pop of colors. Now you get to add splashes of color. I'd add bronzed gold faucets and pulls. I'd also paint the cabinet a rich color (one that goes with your floor tile):

Adding the bronzed faucets to the tub and sinks plus the towel racks, in the mirror frames (round or oval, not rectangular; your design is screaming for some rounded edges) and in the vanity light (don't be afraid to mount a double-ended wall light sconce sideways), will bring a great deal of warmth. Then add more color in the shower curtain, which could bring in both the neutrals of your floor tile, your cabinet color and the gold tones of your faucets.

Finally, find a bright lime green (faux?) cactus plant to put atop your toilet commode.

It's a great canvas to play with.

Here's a Houzz photo of a bathroom that played with color. If you paint the cabinet a dark color (charcoal), add bronzed gold fixtures, then perhaps a white, gray, black, gold shower curtain, plus a bright colored art canvas above the commode, I think you will find you will be much happier.

By the way, this is an example how hard fixtures (tile) force you into a design that you might later not care for. Next time keep the flooring and wall tile basic (like your tile behind your tub) then use the less expensive features (shower curtain, faucets, throw rugs, mirror frames, throw rugs, towels, paint, wallpaper) as the "jewelry" to add pops of color instead of tile that becomes dated within a handful of years.

While the tile behind the mirror below is pretty, I'd put something less expensive and less permanent like wallpaper or even paint instead for the same reason to keep the floor and other wall tile neutral (including grout as well). There's a reason white subway tile has been around for over 100 years while all other tile styles come and go.
