I tried the pods when they first came out and must have gotten an off batch because they were scented. I couldn't use and gave them away to a family member.

The liquid is good, has no OBs, and is supposed to clean better than Tide F&G. When I tried it I thought it cleaned well but found it left air-dried fabrics a little stiff. That was with my old washer. I'll have try it again sometime.

Thank you for that infro, Greeny. the devil made me buy the pods because they were on sale, but I'm not happy with the scent either. Won't be giving up my Tide Free Clear liquid until I hear you say you like the Hygienic liquid better. You and SEA SEA are still my muses.

No more bleached out splotches for me. I'll use those pods for whites. Thank you for that

You might try Persil Free & Sensitive.

I have a whole bottle but too sudsy for me, wdccruise, thank you for responding.

I used the Free Power-Pods on my bedsheets for a while and really liked them. They did perform surprisingly well. I also found that they were shockingly low sudsing (LOL), so I am not sure where the discrepancy lies. I used the Tide plus Downy Free for a while on darks and it was actually pretty good. Not sure if the formula is any different.

Do not know about my old nose 9 days ago, folks, but since then I absolutely LOVE the Tide Hygienic Clean Free POWER PODS. They clean so well, laundry smells SO good, and one Power Pod in my old Whirlpool full fill top loading machine does a fantastic job.

Pat, I like the Persil Free but it’s really sudsy for me too. I found if I mix it with one of the unscented Tide liquids (with the turbo wash HE logo) it helps cut the suds down and makes it work for me. I do the same with Costco’s Kirkland unscented also.

Anne, thank you for the tip about using the Persil Free. Great idea.

And, since learning on here that all Tide pods have OBs, I've sent my wonderful Power-pods off to our Humane Society.
