Have you looked at what’s called an “under counter knee drawer”? Not sure if you will find a double drawer version. It’s what is used as a bathroom vanity section or a desk area.

I would like to find any cabinet company with a lifetime warranty Ikea hs 25 yrs and IMO that is as close as you will get. I think an office desk can be RTA no problem they do not really get a huge amount of abuse . We have had IKea office desks in a working office for over 20 yrs not one issue.

Check out Wayfair just ask for a desk with drwers on one side
