Help with Master bath shower

Hello. First time posting. I am having my house remodeled and just had the glass frame installed for my master bath. I am wondering if it is too short looking and if I should go higher? The current glass is 72” + about 6” with the curb for a total of 78” high. My shower head is coming out of the wall at 86” and I had originally wanted the glass to reach a total height of about 84”. (the contract states a 5ft wide x 7ft tall glass to be used). The problem I have is whether or not to keep the current glass or switch it out to the taller one, but in switching it out, the tile that has the clamps will likely need to be changed out (unless there’s a way to fill those holes?) What do y’all think I should do? Thank you for your help

Honestly, it does look a little short and I can see why it would bother you. I think it should go to just short of the top tile edge.

The best place to start is with the people who installed what you have. If they can supply the taller glass and use the same glass clamp locations then you are all set.

And I wonder why your glass is only 72" if the contract states 7 feet? It certainly is a question to ask someone and I'd expect them to replace it at their cost if the wrong size was delivered and installed. There may be more to the story and maybe you approved this size....anyway....worth having a discussion.

Is there glass on the wall opposite the shower head as well? I can't tell.

Is it possible that just the side you are showing us needs to be made taller? If you have a door on the side opposite the shower head, then it may look fine at the shorter height.

A bit more info is needed for sure. But IMO if the contract was for 84" they need to replace that with what was in the contract and on their dime .

As for the glass, it’s open on the end closest to the tub. As for the height difference, I think the contractor forgot my glass was taller than the standard height, which is what he installed. He has mismeasured before; my kitchen countertops were too narrow and had to be sent back.

I do have one more question:

Should I also have the length of rhe glass be shorter and not come to the very end of the shower curb? It is currently at 64” (contract had stated 60”) wide. Or should I leave it to the end? The taller glass would be closer to the chandelier then.

Anyway, thanks again for the input.

it is not too short.

looks like a nice job, now the fun part, adding interest and color with accessories.
