Scherr’s Cabinets particleboard

Hello,

I’m looking to price out different RTA cabinet options and am interested in Scherr’s cabinets. At my last house, the cabinets were plywood with a melamine interior, which I liked a lot. Scherr’s offers a melamine interior, but it is on a particleboard box. The website says they use a high quality industrial grade particle board. I’d like my new cabinets to last a long time…

Im wondering if anyone has experience with Sherr’s particle board cabinets.

How did they hold up?

Any issues with the hinges screwing into the box/ coming loose?

How do they compare to other cabinets (especially plywood) you've used?

Note: I know particle board has a bad reputation. I’m not looking to turn this into a general particle board hate session. I’ve done lots of reading on pros and cons and I’ve seen a lot of conflicting information from actual professionals on the topic (in general), so I’m not interested in re-litigating the general topic. I’m looing for actual experience with this particular brand.

thanks!
