Just finished a baby quilt top

I had several yards of the Robert Kaufman elephant print that I'd gotten for $2.99 a yard for 54" fabric (which I've never seen before), so I found some coordinating fabric in my stash and put together this little top. The backing and binding will also be the same elephant print. Now I just need a baby who likes orange, blue and green.

Every baby loves those colours!

I am working on a baby quilt for great grandson due in a few weeks. For some reason, I dragged my heels and just could not get started. I was trying to use some fabric left from a ggd’s quilt, as a focus fabric. And I was not using any particular pattern, making it up as I went along. First, I was going to do pinwheels, then changed to stars. Give me a pattern and I will follow it religiously, make up my own, different story. Now, after getting blocks done, I have had to abandon using the focus fabric, so on to plan B or is it C or…?

I've run out of projects so you have inspired me to make baby quilts. I don't have any babies yet but if I make the size the same, they could go to a nursing home as a lap quilt. Thanks for the ideas.
