I really hate cleaning stainless, so when I did my previous and current kitchens I paneled every appliance that had that option! Don't miss having to clean all that stainless surface on fridge and DW!

The water and white vinegar combo is good 'ol for a reason, too...

For stainless appliances -- Weiman's wipes.

For stainless sink -- Bon Ami cleanser (stainless sinks don't have that film/coating, so can scrub the crap out of them; don't let cleanser near a stainless appliance with a coating)

I personally don't like Weiman's because I don't like the smell of it, and I find it leaves a residue. Other people like it, as seen by this thread. I just use a moist Dobie sponge and a bit of dish soap, then wipe dry with a paper towel or dish towel. It also depends whether you are talking about cleaning the front of a refrigerator, or cleaning a cooktop of crusted food.

Typically posters on here who leave such brief posts of not even a full sentence never return. We can always hope.

^^ I have to agree about the smell of Weiman's, but it gets the job done so I put up with it, it's not intolerable for me.

I dont have ss anymore, but when i did I used olive oil on a micrfiber cloth to polish them up.

I just cleaned out my cleaning supplies - twinkle and weimans got tossed and the sprayway stainless cleaner was kept. I also like sprayway's glass cleaner, too - my dad borrows it every time he is at my house so I put some in his stocking. I've also found that down powerwash spray works well in a pinch, too.

I only use water and a high quality microfiber cloth. My very old SS (some are over 17 years) appliances look brand new still. I clean with a slightly damp micro cloth and follow with a dry cloth polish.

I have never used anything other than a microfibre cloth and then Norwex's purple polishing cloth. My Norwex rep recommended using their cleaning paste on it first, but I've never seen a need.

@Joseph Corlett, LLC - the sprayway has a bit of a greasy feel to it compared to the others, and I've wondered if it's just a rebadged WD40!

The Sprayaway Glass Cleaner I linked above leaves no greasy residue. I've never used their stainless steel cleaner. The glass cleaner works wonderfully on stainless.

@User I actually found the opposite, it seems the sprayway oily texture keeps it streak free longer. I only have a stainless dishwasher so prints aren't the issue as much as streaks.

@olychick I will give the glass cleaner a try! I love it for actual glass, never thought to try it on my dishwasher.
