I would consider engineered hardwood floors for high-end and timeless design. Rift & Quater white oak will deliver the visual you described.

I would suggest searching the forum because this topic has been done to death. :) Not beating you up for asking - just wanted to let you know there are so many threads to be found on this that you will be able to read opinions for days on the topic.

It all comes down to what you personally value and like, vs. what sort of things you don't like. You get strong opinions from all over the map. I have LVP in one house and love it in that application, I have "real" hardwood (insert haughty sniff here, LOL) in another house and love that there. They each have their pros and cons.
