First get rid of the sponge they are the biggest holder of bacteria in a kitchen and so no holder needed. I use micro fiber cloths in my kitchen and change thm often sometimes ever during a day of being really busy I wash them in very hot water no fabric softener not dryer sheets and they go folded neatly in a drawer I have about 40 in that drawer . I run a catering biz from my home and sponges are a big no no for any commercial type kitchen.

I appreciate the comment, but have a small kitchen with no extra room for cloths, and laundry that only gets done once a week. Stuck with the situation I have, I'm wondering if anyone has any sponge holder recommendations for a Blanco composite sink. Thanks!

I'd be wary of sucking anything against a composite sink. They can be temperamental, unlike stainless steel. Stick it to the front of your sink as a test please. If it leave a mark, at least you won't see it.

Good point about testing anything on the front first. The over faucet is a good idea, but my husband is sadly resistant. I had read somewhere about people using magnets to do this in some way, hence the Happy Sink magnetic sponge holder I linked to, but curious for feedback from anyone who has used it or something similar successfully. Right now we are keeping the sponge in a tray on the counter that drains, but that seems even less sanitary to me, so I'd love to get it back into the sink.

I have a... dang, cant think of the name. It's not Blanco but the other one and basically the same material. I bought a magnetic thing for my rags and it didn't work. It's now in my laundry room sink. What I did do instead is buy a metal command hook and stuck it to the inside of the sink, wall closest to me so it isn't seen right away when people use the sink and is generally out of the way. Maybe Command has something that will work?

I don't like hooks and things that get in the way of dish washing. I got one of these rollaway open mats that lays across the sink leavinf sponges and dish rags dry quickly and easily rolls up and out ohe way quickly..

Elkay sells a magnetic system that works with any sink material. You'll need to crawl into the cabinet to place the magnetic tape on the unfinished outside surface of the sink. It works well and the kit offers several different holders you can use.

Thanks for this! This is what I was looking for. It does say it's only for stainless sinks, however someone said they used it for a composite site, but had to get stronger magnets...

I used the Elkay system for my stainless kitchen sink, and with my laundry tub which is that heavy duty pressed plastic kind of material that stationary tubs are made with. It works the same at both sinks. You do not need any other magnets. And you can cut the magnetic strip into pieces just big enough for where you need the holder. I used one kit to do both sinks because I only wanted one holder in each sink.
