Why quartz?

HU-350560757 I just installed Cambria Inverness Frost in my kitchen and fireplace surround. So far, I love it. I'm getting my backsplash installed now, so the plastic protector is still on the perimeter but the island and fireplace look amazing.

Any additional feedback about the Inverness veining? I like the nautical feel of the Bristol Bay but have a last minute concern about the matte texture described as a positive marketing feature.

I tested some with grenadine and i couldnt get the stain out. anyone else had this issue with Inverness Frost?

Warning on Cambria Everleigh Inverness: I questioned the sales rep on the possibility that the Everleigh Inverness (which means debossed, or indentations,) might possibly be more susceptible to staining. He assured me that it was impervious to stains and easily cleaned. On the sample I took a pink water-based marker and marked a 1/4” pink mark on one of the taupe veins. Waited a few minutes. That stain would not budge, despite alcohol, Dawn dish soap, quartz cleaners, hand sanitizer, etc. It was a permanent pink stain. I had been ready to order the Everleigh Inverness but after this I decided to go with the regular polished gloss Everleigh. A sample I had seen of the Everleigh Inverness in another stone place had NO indentations at all, which was very misleading. Please realize that there are several variations of Cambria Everleigh (warm, Inverness, matte, polished, etc.) Doublecheck and be very clear about exactly what you are choosing because that Cambria Everleigh Inverness would have been a permanent source of stress to keep clean in our busy home with children, etc. A company with a name (and high pricetag) such as Cambria, and their distributors and salespeople, should try much harder to confirm that the samples they distribute and the information they give to trusting customers is clear and beyond reproach. When my Cambria Everleigh slab arrives, after thorough inspection by me, and after that succesful installation, I will repost. In the meantime, buyer beware.
