Hi guys,
We lost our living room to hurricane Sandy. We spent this summer living with temporary furniture and plywood floors. This fall we are planning to raise the house and fix it up. I have a very hard time choosing the furniture and accessories for this room. It is a small room (approximately 15x10). I don't think that the fireplace will survive the raising of the house. It is our primary place to lounge and watch TV, so the placement of the couch and TV is very important. We have two kids, a dog, and lots of guests during the summer, so durability, and easy care are very important. I am thinking slipcovers. Since it is a beach house, and we are here during the summer only, I would like to do it on a budget, no high end staff. The only things that I am married to on these pictures are the lamps. I would really like to reuse them, but I can change the lamp shades of course. We also would like to have a large scale coffee table since kids use it a lot to play board games. The color of the room used to be light green, and I kind of like it, so I would probably keep it the same. The floors will be white wood planks. I am looking forward to your ideas. I love houzz.
