I see no hole in the floor which tells me you are not using the bottom lock.

You just need a better worker. The lock needs to moved up, or removed and the door patched so the door may be cut a bit more.

One other option would be to replace the hinges with "rising butt" or "cam lift" hinges. These cause the door to lift when it's swung open.

Yes, there is. That’s not the problem. The problem is the door does not clear a nubby sisal rug. It rubs slightly.

Need to decide is that is worth the cost of having someone repair the doors. Only way is to remove the flush bolts, cut the groove further up, cut the door bottom and refinish all. Just my thoughts.

If it only rubs a little bit I would probably leave it. In the same house, one french door rubbed on once side of the dining room carpet when that was replaced in 1987. When my dad moved out at age 90 there was a rub mark in the carpet from 1987, but not really much wear.

What @millworkman suggested raise the latch and cut the door... If you cover and tape everything you don't need to paint maybe a few touchups here and there.

This is the correct carpet for the room. It is a natural fiber carpet and they tend to be thicker. This is the look I wished to achieve in this coastal home.

What do you want me to do take a measuring tape and then buy the carpet contingent on height! 😂

I have decided to live with this minor issue. The door will be open most of the time so it won’t be rubbing every day and it is slight so all is good. Thx to all commenters!
